When he was skilled enough, the two fought Darth Minion. Anais defeated Minion, however Agnos died. Anais freed his parents who were captured, and headed to Coruscant. His parents were actually Jedi. Anais was taken in front of the council, and after passing the trials, became the apprentice of Mace Windu. When he could no longer train Anais, he became the apprentice of Yoda. Anais was so strong and wise, that at the age of 18, he was invited to join the council. However, Anais felt he did not have enough experience, and respectfully rejected the invitation, but instead asked for an apprentice.
