Story[Edit] Read warning: text below contains details about the content and/or the end of the story. A meteorite as big as the State of Texas is approaching the Earth and the Director of the American space agency NASA wants to send a team of specialists in the area to stop the meteorite. Harry s. Stamper (Willis) is known as the best olieboorder, and he and his team are to the heroic task to on the meteorite to land, to drill a hole into the surface and to drop a nuclear bomb in the core. Other[Edit] Despite the poor reception by the critics (they found the movie implausible and the film took a lick with the laws of nature), it was a very successful movie, which yielded more than $ 200 million in America in the cinemas. Remarkably, the same year also came another disaster film about an approaching meteorite that threatened the Earth, Deep Impact. In the late 1990s there was a revival of the previous disaster film genre. Also a remake of Godzilla came out that year. On the sound track were under other some songs from the rock band Aerosmith, Steven TylerLiv Tylers's father. The song I Don't Want to Miss a Thing, that on the soundtrack of the film, was the biggest hit in the history of the group. The film music itself is mainly composed by Trevor Rabin, with the collaboration of Harry Gregson-Williams. This music is released on cd in the shortened version, and in the full version, the ' complete score ', a 2 CD version. Division Of Roles Bruce Willis -Harry S.
