Synopsis
  • Alien parasites"Lissik" comes to Seattle to seduce and feed ton the spinal fluids of humans. She meets Oliver Queen at a charity function, and almost ensnares him, but he is called off to deal with the recent rash of murders in the city . Instead, Lissik finds "Captain" Kieron Masterson, a blind, crippled veteran who lost his arm in Vietnam. She feeds on him, but instead of dying, Masterson manifests magnificent powers, and is suddenly able to regain his sight through a weird new perception of the different lights around him... the hook on his arm also transforms into an energy blade. After finding and confronting Lissik again, Masterson finds her under the protection of Green Arrow, who still believes her to be an innocent woman, and ends up fighting Hook. After a short time, Lissik reveals herself, and attempts to feed upon both of them, but a combination of the two heroes fight her off, and after meeting Hook's energy blade too many times, Lissik is forced to flee to seek better prey elsewhere. Green Arrow and Hook parted ways, and Hook changed back into his normal form, in which he was still a rattily dressed veteran. He smiles though, as he is at least now apparently still able to see.
