| - Wadjet is the queen of Cobras and protector of Lower Egypt. She appears in The Crown of Ptolemy.
- The Wadjet is an Egyptian Classical Age Myth Unit granted to followers of Ptah. It resembles a giant cobra with flapping vestigial wings.
Kategorie:Gottheiten Kategorie:Ägyptische Drachen Kategorie:Amphitheres Kategorie:Afrikanische Drachen
- The serpent cult of the benevolent Wadjet is a twin to the cult of the deceiver Apep. Wadjet, a great river serpent said to dwell in the papyrus marshes of the River Sphinx delta, is a tutelary deity and mother of her emissaries, the uraeuses. Wadjet is the nurturer of the River Sphinx and a personification of the spirits guiding and guarding the ruler of Osirion. The rod of the uraeus is a magic item fashioned in the form of a uraeus-headed staff, which assists in the detection of deceit and can create a spray of stinging poison.
- The Wadjet is a Desert Petpet available from Peopatra's Petpets or through the Shop Wizard for around 1,000NP. A Wadjet loves nothing better than to curl around your Neopets neck... sometimes it can be mistaken easily for a necklace. It won the PPL, or Petpet Protection League in Week 75. You can learn to draw a Wadjet here. This Green Petpet can also be Black, Blue, Brown, Cloud, Ghost, Glowing, Pink, Rainbow, Red, Snow, White, and Yellow.
- In Egyptian mythology, Wadjet, or the Green One (Egyptian w3ḏyt; also spelled Wadjit, Wedjet, Uadjet or Ua Zit and in Greek, Udjo, Uto, Edjo, and Buto among other names), was originally the ancient local goddess of the city of Dep, which became part of the city that the Egyptians named Per-Wadjet, House of Wadjet, and the Greeks called Buto, a city that was an important site in the Predynastic era of Ancient Egypt and the cultural developments of the Paleolithic. She was said to be the patron and protector of Lower Egypt and upon unification with Upper Egypt, the joint protector and patron of all of Egypt with the "goddess" of Upper Egypt. The image of Wadjet with the sun disk is called the uraeus, and it was the emblem on the crown of the rulers of Lower Egypt.
- In the Pyramid Texts it is suggested that she created the first papyrus plant and papyrus swamp. Her link to the papyrus is strengthened by the fact that her name was written using the glyph of a papyrus plant and the same plant was the heraldic plant of Lower Egypt.
