Slater Dobbs was a construction worker in the employ of Kelly Construction. He was also part of Reverend John Chalker's Pentecostal congregation. After the Ring of Fire, Dobbs was among those who developed anti-German views, and spent much of his off-time in 250 Club. However, his prejudice was not to the extreme as in his words "Just because these down-time Germans aren't as advanced as us West Virginians, it doesn't mean that they're stupid." Slater Dobbs later served as the manager of the roadies guarding for Fischer. This article is a . You can help My English Wiki by expanding it.

  • Slater Dobbs was a construction worker in the employ of Kelly Construction. He was also part of Reverend John Chalker's Pentecostal congregation. After the Ring of Fire, Dobbs was among those who developed anti-German views, and spent much of his off-time in 250 Club. However, his prejudice was not to the extreme as in his words "Just because these down-time Germans aren't as advanced as us West Virginians, it doesn't mean that they're stupid." Dobbs worked well with preacher Dieter Fischer, who joined the Pentecostal faith. The two worked in constructing the silo manufacturing plant in the new industrial park on the Saale River just outside the Ring of Fire. During a shift, Fischer accidentally injured Dobbs' hand, dislocating three of his fingers. Dobbs was in agonizing pain before Fischer grabbed his mangled hand and went into a trance and miraculously healed Dobbs' hand. Dobbs immediately saw Fischer as a miracle worker and reported this news throughout the community. Slater Dobbs later served as the manager of the roadies guarding for Fischer. This article is a .
