Steven John "Steve" Atkinson (October 16, 1948 – May 6, 2003) was a Canadian player who played the positions of center and right wing. Originally drafted in 1966 by the Detroit Red Wings, he was immediately traded to the Boston Bruins. Atkinson played four seasons for the Niagara Falls Flyers (1964-68). He won the Memorial Cup in 1964-65 and 1967-68, He played in 302 NHL games, scoring 60 goals and 51 assists. Atkinson died of a heart attack on May 6, 2003 at the age of 54.
