An invitation to dinner from Sir Charles Dobson: could this be the turning point in Leonard Swindley's career? Dobson and Hawks telephone system was changed. Now manager Mr Parbold has Swindley's old number and Swindley has Parbold's. Did Sir Charles intend to invite Swindley or did he mistake him for Parbold? Swindley makes desperate efforts to find out but Mrs Edgeley pushes him to go along to the dinner invitation. Sir Charles though has already realised that an error might have been made and with charm and grace invites his second guest to join him and Parbold for an enjoyable evening.
