It is also equipped with an illuminated x2 and x5 sniper scope and an extended barrel for increased bullet speed and precision; it fires armor-piercing rounds. The VC32 was an accurate and deadly weapon, especially over long distances. However, despite being extremely lethal when fired at upper torso or head, the rifle was hampered by its slow rate of fire, due to it being a bolt action rifle, limited magazine capacity, and that its extreme accuracy is only available when scoped. When fired at the enemy, it often results in instant kills, but won't kill Heavy Troops in one blow. It is first found during the mission Visari Square. The VC32 Sniper Rifle is a modified version of the StA-14 Rifle, with notable changes including the addition of a high-powered scope and cheek rest, a bolt-action mechanism designed to increase stopping power, a six round magazine (instead of the 10 round mag from the Sta-14) and a more powerful cartridge. It is not related to the StA-52 SLAR from Killzone, which was a modification of the StA-52 Assault Rifle. The VC32 weighs 6.5 kg. The VC32 makes a reappearance in Killzone 3 with slight modifications, most notably the change in the scope, from 5x to 8x zoom. It is still a one-shot kill on multiplayer on any part of the body.
