The United States Air Force's 27th Air Refueling Squadron (27 ARS) was an aerial refueling unit that operated the Boeing KB-29P Superfortress at Bergstrom AFB, Texas. The mission of the unit was to provide global refueling for the Strategic Air Command 27th Fighter-Escort Wing and other USAF units as directed. The unit was inactivated in 1957 with the phaseout of the B-29 from SAC, being replaced by the purpose-built KC-97 Aerial Tanker.
