abstract
  • The Learjet-Dassault Aviation Swallow 24, also known as the T-24, A-24, and C-24, was a business jet and military aircraft. Introduced in 2522, the Swallow 24 was a popular business jet amongst corporate officials in the Inner Colonies. Later that year, the UNSC Air Force expressed its interest in acquiring a number of the Swallow 24's. By May of 2523, about eighty of the one hundred and ten 24's ordered by the Air Force had been delivered, with sixty of them assigned to training units on Earth and Mars, and the other twenty delivered to various cargo transport units across the Inner Colonies. The aircraft continued its service for several more decades, even being used as a combat aircraft by desperate UNSC defenders during Covenant attacks. By 2553, only seven military 24's remained, and the UNSC continued to use them until 2558, when they were modified for anti insurgency roles, and given to a Colonial Militia unit on the recently reclaimed colony of Venezia, where they were used to great effect against Insurrectionist holdouts up until 2564, when they were retired.
