Trek Online (often abbreviated TOL) was an RPG sim group that operated from 1996 to 2004, and consisted of about a dozen ships. While the majority and most active ships were sims (or chatroom based), several were message board-based or email-based. At TOL's peak, it had over 100 active members as well as an "elected government". The group underwent a "civil war" in late 2003, with half splitting off to form the "Rogue RPG Sim Group". Combined with untimely events in the real lives of many members, this led to the fall of the group.
