Tarantula takes on Copperhead alone, but has her fat pulled out of the fire by Nightwing. She then insists they spend some time as normal people, getting to know one another, but can not get him to smile, not understanding how strongly he feels about not killing. With his thoughts and emotions still in turmoil, she manages to pressure him into applying for a marriage license, but before he can fill it in, he gets a call from Batman asking him to come to Gotham. He drops everything and leaves.
