The 'SAVE DIBLEY' campaign is a protest group organized by the Vicar against Mr.Badcock of the water board to stop their plans to flood Dibley for a new resovoir to solve the water shortage. Most of the village are against the resovoir until the discover that they will be moved to luxury retreats. Everyone wanted to move away from Dibley. Geraldine on her own decided to start the protest by chaining herself to the church. The protest attracted lots of publicity. The protest however did not stop the water board's plans to flood Dibley, it was Owen's idea to chop limbs off farm animals and claim that they were of a rare species and were not to be killed.
