The USS Cuffe was a Nebula-class vessel named in honor of Paul Cuffe, the famed 18th and 19th century African-American entrepreneur and explorer. The Cuffe was constructed at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards in July 2364 under the supervision of Commander Ra-Mitri. (Dark Territory) Originally under the command of Captain Sabrina Diaz, First Officer Terrence S. Glover was awarded the captain's seat in 2370 after a disastrous mission in the Tong Beak Nebula. The Cuffe's dedication plaque read: Sa pere aude, a Latin phrase that means "Dare to be wise".

The Cuffe was constructed at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards in July 2364 under the supervision of Commander Ra-Mitri. (Dark Territory) Originally under the command of Captain Sabrina Diaz, First Officer Terrence S. Glover was awarded the captain's seat in 2370 after a disastrous mission in the Tong Beak Nebula. The USS Cuffe was destroyed at the Battle of Cardassia Prime in December 2375. Glover sacrificed the ship against orbital weapons platform fire to shield the escape pods of other wrecked ships. The Cuffe's dedication plaque read: Sa pere aude, a Latin phrase that means "Dare to be wise".
