Wood Treasure Chests will randomly spawn on the surface as soon as night falls (ca. 10:34 PM) and then some more during the night, always in range of view of player-characters (no direct line of sight needed though). • Wood Treasure Chests will randomly spawn on the surface as soon as night falls (ca. 10:34 PM) and then some more during the night, always in range of view of player-characters (no direct line of sight needed though). Wood Treasure Chests will not spawn during daytime any more like they did in earlier versions on Creativerse. Wood Treasure Chests can also appear on surface-blocks in deeper layers of the world, for example if you purify corrupted blocks/wood/leaves or place surface blocks underground. All Treasure Chests can only spawn on solid natural blocks in darkness (including tree-tops), but will stay where they are when you place torches next to them or when the sun rises after they have already appeared. You cannot put anything inside these special chests, and if you take "everything", you will not receive any chests or the like, but only the contents of the chest, while the chest itself will be gone. Unlooted Treasure Chests will vanish if all player-characters wander off too far. Half-looted chests will prevail a little longer so you can teleport home and return within a short while, but will disappear if you do not return for a longer time or if all player-characters log out. Wood Treasure Chests can - randomly - contain (as of R26 in December 2015): * pieces of Coal (unlock the recipes for Coal Torches and White Beacons, are needed for Stone Mining Cells) * Moss Torches * Gunpowder (unlock the recipes for TNT, Explosive Bombs and Stun Bombs) * Red Flowers * Blue Flowers * Yellow Flowers * Red Mushroom * Brown Mushrooms * Rimecones * Beeswax * Arcstones (rarely) * Basic Extractors * Perfumes * Cragwood * Basic Health Potions * Melted Wax * Notes and/or Data Chips * recipes like for Fire Pits, Colored Beds or building blocks (rarely)
