Piruzan (Persian=پیروزان) or al-Bayruzan (Arabic=البیروزان), also known as al-Birazan and Beerzan (Berzn) was a commander in the Sassanid Persian army during the Arab invasions in 7th century Persia. "al-Birazan" is known for his role in the battle of Battle of al-Qādisiyyah where he was killed in a duel with the Muslim commander Al Qa’qa'.
