There are different kinds of soldier found within The Empire. The ones that follow are a representative sample of those likely to be encountered by the adventurers. For example, the adventurers could pass the soldiers on the road or come across them in a coaching inn. They are not primarily intended as opponents, but to provide colour and background to the campaign. Most troops are not armed with missile weapons, but these may be added if desired.

  • Soldiers make up the backbone of Seventh Wave. Numerous, moderately strong and well armed, they are a force to be reckoned with. They wear clothing according to their surroundings; E.g, in Treneska Border Crossing, most of the soldiers wear woodland camouflage. There are also RPG, Machine Gun and Sniper variations of these enemies.

  • The soldiers of the Army make up the main part of the King's fighting force. They are regular, simple men, who did not attend, or were not taken in at Battleschools. These soldiers are normally farmers, who aren't especially skilled in fighting, and are only called upon during times of war. They are armed with spears, swords, bows, and pikes according to what type of training they have had.
  • The Three Stooges are pretending to be soldiers, with Moe acting as there commanding officer. He is ordering them to do weird gun stances. Larry and Curly Joe ask why they have to wear these uniforms. Moe tells them that they do it anniversary, in order to reminse about the war. The Three Stooges are visited by their old sergeant (Possibly played by Emil Sitka) who has come to apologies for treating them so badly, and has giving Curly Joe all of his lunches back. Curly Joe opens the container, and a bomb emerges, revealing the whole time it was a prank. Moe tells Curly Joe not to ever another gift in front of the sarge.

  • Soldiers, also known as Shielded Gnorcs, are a variety of Common Gnorcs that can be found in Dark Hollow. Unlike the regular "Common Gnorcs" seen in the Artisans Homeworld, Soldiers actually fight back against Spyro, attacking him with their short, blood-stained swords. Even though they possess flame-resilient shields, it's easy for Spyro to take them out with flames when they point at him with their swords. However, it is easiest for Spyro to simply charge them to defeat them.
  • Soldiers is a Hardcore band from Long Island, formed out of the bands: This Is Hell, Subterfuge, Last Conviction, and The Backup Plan. Since their inception in 2006, the band has released a full length album, entitled "End of Days", an EP entitled "The Tombstone", and has toured with bands such as Dead Hearts, Daggermouth, Comeback Kid, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Reign Supreme and This Is Hell.
  • Soldiers are used extensively in Galactic Civilizations II. They are used to control ships (though this is not deducted from the planet's population since it is negligible), and also during planetary invasions. Their efficiency is controlled by different parameters, such as soldiering. Every taxpayer has the capability to become a soldier . One unit of soldiers (1 on the planetary invasion screen, normal transports carry 1000 units) represents 1 million people (therefore the transport module can carry 500 million people, and the advanced module carries 1 billion people).
  • Wielding heavier armor and more powerful weapons than their lesser counterparts, Soldiers form the elite force of both the Founders and the Vox Populi. They are easily distinguishable from other enemies by their padding and ammo belts. The Vox Populi counts several military-like enemies among their ranks. Though not professionally trained like their Founder counterparts, the Vox weapons they wield deal heavy damage while their armor offers them extra protection. They typically wear red hoods with stylized horns.

  • Wielding heavier armor and more powerful weapons than their lesser counterparts, Soldiers form the elite force of both the Founders and the Vox Populi. They are easily distinguishable from other enemies by their padding and ammo belts. There are three kinds of soldiers Booker DeWitt encounters. The first are allied with Cornelius Slate, and willingly throw themselves at Booker in the hope of an honorable death. They are weaker than soldiers found later in the game, and are found exclusively in and around the Hall of Heroes. They are easily recognizable due to their brightly-colored and ornamented military uniforms. The Vox Populi counts several military-like enemies among their ranks. Though not professionally trained like their Founder counterparts, the Vox weapons they wield deal heavy damage while their armor offers them extra protection. They typically wear red hoods with stylized horns. Soldiers also form the military arm of the Founders in Columbia, also known as the Flying Squad. They greatly resemble the American Soldiers of World War I, as they are outfitted with blue uniforms, metal helmets, and backpacks. Among their recruitment process, Dimwit & Duke propaganda was used to encourage kids to join their ranks. They are mainly encountered once Booker and Elizabeth enter Emporia. Male soldiers wear blue uniforms and wear metal helmets, while certain female soldiers wear white and stylized Statue of Liberty masks.
