The al-Jabhah al-Badariyah al-Qawmiyah, or National Badaran Front (NBF), is a union of several minor political parties and organisations which are united in their goals for islamism, pan-Majatranism and social-conservatism, the larger of them being the Islamic Revolutionary People's Party (IRPP), the Islamic Constitutional Movement (ICM) and the Supreme Council of Sharia Courts (SCSC). The NBF is headed by the Guardian Council. The Guardian Council consists of 7 high ranking members of the Islamic clergy, headed by a Chairman who is elected from the 7 members of the Guardian Council.
