Caber: Brynn Johnson. Thought we might run into you. Joel: At least you didn't almost run into us this time. Sugar: Mm-hmm. Brynn: Right. So, Caber, are you trying for the Johto League? Caber: Actually, yes. You helped inspire me back in Kanto. Brynn: Coolness! Polly: And he's got 5 Badges to prove it, too. Brynn: Whoa! I've only got 4 Badges, so you're definitely ahead of me in that one, but I'm gonna catch up with ya. Sugar: Ooh! Big Faye: Um, well, maybe you two could have a Pokémon Battle? So you both can see how far you've come? Brynn: Sounds good to me! Whaddaya say, Caber? Caber: You're on. How's 5-on-5 sound? Brynn: You got it, dude! Brynn: Go, Growlithe! Growlithe: (appears) Growl! Polly: Aw, cute! Sugar: Agreed! Caber: (brings out his Safari Ball) Go, Seadra! Seadra: (appears) Do-do! Brynn: Water-type, huh? Well, Growlithe won't go down that easily. Caber: Neither will Seadra. Polly: Wow... Sugar: Awesome! Joel: They're both equally powerful there. Brynn: (returns Growlithe) Not too shabby, dude. (brings another Poké Ball) Go, Torkoal! Torkoal: (appears) Torkoal! Caber: (returns Seadra, brings another Poké Ball) Go, Vibrava! Vibraba: (appears) Brava! Sugar: Yay!!! Polly: Way to go, Vibrava! Big Faye: Yay... Brynn: Take a rest, Torkoal. (returns Torkoal, brings another Poké Ball) Go, Flareon! Flareon: (appears) Flareon! Polly: A Flareon, cute! Caber: (returns Vibrava, brings out Dusk Ball) Go, Druddigon! Druddigon: (appears) Druddigon! Brynn: You may still have a type advantage, but that won't stop my Flareon. I've had her since she was an Eevee. Caber: Let's see how well you've trained that Eeveelution. Brynn: Aw, bummer. Aw well. You did your best, Flareon. (returns Flareon) Sugar: Awesome! Brynn: (brings another Poké Ball) Let's see how you do against this one. Go, Magby! Magby: (appears) Magby! Caber: Druddigon, you rest up. (returns Druddigon, brings another Poké Ball) Go, Tyrantrum! Tyrantrum: (appears) Tyrantrum! Brynn: Whoa! Your Tyrunt evolved? That's awesome! Caber: Eeyup. He's become much stronger now. Brynn: Maybe, but the bigger they are, the harder they fall! (Magby started with Flamethrower. Tyrantrum responded with Hyper Beam, but Magby managed to jump away and used Fire Punch. Due to his typing, Tyrantrum wasn't hurt, but it did surprise him. Then Magby used Mach Punch, which caused some harm. Suddenly, Magby was glowing.) Joel: Whoa. Magby's evolving. Brynn: Alright, Magmar! Now you're 20% cooler! Caber: We'll see about that. (pulls out Pokédex) Joel and Polly: Whoa... Big Faye: Now they're both down to their final Pokémon. Sugar: Cool! Brynn: (brings another Poké Ball) Well, Caber, it's come down to our final Pokémon. Go, Charizard! Caber: (brings another Poké Ball) Time to fight fire with fire. Go, Charizard! Big Faye: Oh my... Big Faye: Gosh. Another tie. Joel: They're equally powerful. Polly: Wow! Sugar: Cool! Caber: Guess we've both gotten better, huh? Brynn: I'll say. I thought I had you there for a second. Joel: How bout we head for the nearest Pokémon Center? Polly: Oh yes, please. Watching that battle made me hungry. Sugar: Same. Hey, Brynn, care to join us for a while? I'll treat to some of my baked goods. (smiles) Brynn: (shrugs) Aw, what the heck? I'm sold. Besides, our Pokémon do need to heal up, right? Caber: That they do. Brynn: (takes a bite) Mmmm! These are good. Sugar: Thanks. (blushes) Caber: (takes a bite) I gotta admit, you've outdone yourself, Sugar. Polly: (mouth full) You sure did. Sugar: Aww, thanks. (blushing intensifies) Brynn: Sounds like you guys've had a lot going on. Sugar: Mm-hmm! Brynn: Well, I gotta get goin', Caber. But I'll see ya at the Silver Conference. Caber: You too.
