John Carson was a Metro Police Department officer who also happened to be an ex-boyfriend of Jeanne Benoit. He began calling her and sending her e-mails in the hope that she would agree to give him another chance despite Jeanne telling him over and over again that they were over. Carson and his partner, J.D. Morris later worked with NCIS to help find out who had killed a Navy sailor and in doing so, uncovered proceedings at an illegal nightclub known only as One Club. Before his death, however, he managed to send an email to Jeanne Benoit telling her that he, too, got over their relationship.

| - John Carson was a Metro Police Department officer who also happened to be an ex-boyfriend of Jeanne Benoit. Carson and his partner, J.D. Morris later worked with NCIS to help find out who had killed a Navy sailor and in doing so, uncovered proceedings at an illegal nightclub known only as One Club. Their efforts to arrest the perp ended in disaster when DiNozzo was forced to shoot him dead in self-defense. Carson later died from injuries during the gunfight despite DiNozzo's efforts to stop the bleeding. Before his death, however, he managed to send an email to Jeanne Benoit telling her that he, too, got over their relationship. It is presumed that after the investigation was over, Carson's body was returned to his family for a proper burial.
