Features include an arch-topped mahogany body with contrast binding bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez active humbucking pickups and a hard-tail bridge. A special feature is the active EQ switch which activates a mid-cut. For 2011, an updated body shape with deeper scoop cuts on the horns was introduced along with a new set of pickups and the new Wizard III neck. The RGA42 was discontinued after 2013.
