Everyone must have heard about the great wall of China. Interestingly, in the World of Finance too, we have a Buzzword, Chinese Wall. It is a sort of ethical barrier which companies build between departments. For example, in a financial institute a Chinese Wall may exist between the division researching and advising buying of securities and its brokerage division which actually executes the orders. Such a Chinese Wall is created to avoid conflict of interests between different divisions and departments of an organization.
