- We know that the Haze-producing fungus is spread by Spores, which we've found growing on certain types of fungus. Most Mimics seem to harvest these Spores, which are somehow protected from combustion when the Mimic is killed. One type of Mimic, however, seems to expel a different type of spore to cause fungus to grow.
