... Welcome back, {Player}. These armored plates are very strange... on the one hand, they remind me of the plates from a Snapshell, but on the other hand there's something very fungus-like about it. I'm not sure why this creature needs armor like this at all, unless it has something to do with whatever process coats the ripe spores in gel. The fungus that grow from the Dewdrop's spores don't seem to be Haze-producing, so I wonder what purpose it serves. They can be annoying to travel through, so perhaps the Dewdrop's goal is to make it difficult to enter areas that are home to the Haze-producing fungus. Thanks for helping out again, {Player}. I've got a new Sprocket ready for you again, so please take it for your collection.

  • Dewdrops seem to encase a certain spore in some kind of gel, which causes that thorny fungus to quickly grow. I'd like to learn more about these strange Mimics, so do you have some time to spare for the Mimicology Department?
  • I hear that an armored plates is likely to be left behind when a Dewdrop combusts. Try to find 35 of these, and let me know when you've collected enough! ... Welcome back, {Player}. • We know that the Haze-producing fungus is spread by Spores, which we've found growing on certain types of fungus. Most Mimics seem to harvest these Spores, which are somehow protected from combustion when the Mimic is killed. One type of Mimic, however, seems to expel a different type of spore to cause fungus to grow.
