| - Claude's two dominant traits are his Sharp intellectual Mind and his utter fearlessness. Even thou he is very mature Claude can still easily be amazed by the simplest things, such as hermit crabs. He likes monsters and will ask weird creatures to join his crew (as seen in the Thriller Bark arc, asking a talking tree to join his crew). He is calm, collected, and highly perceptive. He also seems well aware of the terror his reputation inspired in his foes. He appeared to be respectful of those around him; and doesn't like to freely speaking about others' pasts. He is shrewd person, and is not a man who would do something without reason. He was is knowledgeable of the Pirate world, concluding that the World will Change After Whitebeards death. He is known for his unbeatable determination and unbelievable drive, which was passed on to his Father. In his youth, Claude also had a desire to be acknowledged by everyone in the town and to become a great Pirate, again, a trait passed from his father. His devotion to his Crew and his love for his friends inspired all those around him, and, as a result, he became well-liked by the towns he visited. In addition to being an extremely powerful Pirate, Claude had equally impressive intelligence, and was shown to be very wise, something even Sengoku acknowledged. He was exceedingly sharp and observant to any situation at hand, as he was rarely surprised or caught off guard. He also displayed great intuition, as he was almost never deceived and even then almost instantly realised the truth. This intelligence could also be seen through Claude's immense foresight, such as examples like the foreknowledge of Luffy's defeat of Crocodile and simultaneous survival, his own pre-meditated fatalist view of Whitebeards death by Blackbeards's hand, and most recently the implantation of his own Victory over one of the Eight Dukes. Despite his status as a wanted criminal, and having wiped out his Village, Claude took no enjoyment in violence or combat, instead preferring to avoid battle or, if this was not possible, end it as quickly as he could. As a member of the Red haired Pirates, he possessed incredible self-control of his emotions, constantly displaying an emotionless personality. He only showed surprise when opponents proved more powerful or skilled than he had expected, and even then he didn't lose his composure. He did not possess any arrogance, and fully justified any statements he made about his power, even complimenting his opponents at times on their abilities.
