System 6.0.8L was never officially published by Apple. but was released in February 1992 to support the Asia Pacific market. It was a hacked version of System 6.0.8, and was very popular in some countries because System 7 localization was delayed for several non-English languages. System 6.0.8L enabled System 6 to run on the Macintosh Classic, Classic II, PowerBook 100, Macintosh LC and Macintosh LC II with high-bit language support and up to date printer support.
