Shattuck is a small town on the northern edge of the infamous Witchtooth Line in Gallantaria. It has the usual assortment of shops, inns and taverns, surrounding a bustling cobbled town square. This square, which has an old cross at its centre, is a hive of activity where "wool-spinners, farmers, masons, artisans, merchants, drunkards, travellers, simple peasants and a whole variety of other folk" go about their business. Around the time of the War of the Four Kingdoms, the numerologist Parcleasus lived in Shattuck.
