Dûrok Ornthrond was the dwarf who carved Isidar Mithrim. It took him fifty-seven years to carve it, and right after he completed the Star Sapphire, he fell dead. His life ended when Isidar Mithrim was finished beacuse he lived only to create the beautiful gem. Because of the time he spent carving it, his wife left him, but Dûrok did not mind, as he was too engrossed in completing his project. Dûrok lived in the Age of Herran.
