  • A sept is a group of werewolf packs organized around a caern.
  • A sept is a subdivision of the Aiel clans. Aiel can be of the same clan, but different septs. Each clan has different septs. For example, Jindo is a sept of the Taardad and no other clan would have a Jindo sept. While these are the known septs, it is possible that there are many that are known only within each clan. While it is not known how many septs a clan normally has, the Shaido has had as many as eighty-three septs WH 4.
  • Sept was an Avowed member of the Second Company of the Crimson Guard.
  • Sept is a map-maker. Sept is on the forums. Sept is on IRC. Sept is the number seven in French.
  • A unit of mass used by Hollowstar early in the First Age, and by the Lesser Ancestors just before. It is equal to the mass of one spaceship part that needed to be replaced particularly often. One Sept is equal to 3.3699 SMU.
  • A dedicated to the New Gods. The Sept unlocks at level 5 and costs 600 File:Silver Icon.png to build.
  • Sept is a song writen by the French band Pleymo, appearing on their studio album Alphabet Prison (2006).
  • In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, septs are built to have seven walls, representing each aspect of the God of Seven. Each sept also houses art portraying each of the seven aspects. In rural septs, portrayals of the seven may be carved masks or even simple charcoal drawings on a wall, while in wealthy septs, such as those found in castles, there may be statues inlaid with precious metals and stones.
  • A sept was a division of a clan of infertile Selonian females who shared the same father and breeder mother. The vast majority of the Selonian population consisted of infertile females, who functioned as the workers of the species. The few males and breeder females were very well protected, but were not allowed to leave their dens. Within a den, the single breeder female would mate with a handful of males and give birth to a brood of Selonian children by each. Each breeder male thus fathered a subset of the population of the den, and these subsets with the same father were referred to as 'septs.'
Descendre.
  • A Sept is a community of Garou, typically centered around the protection of a Caern, its Bawn, and a larger area known as the Protectorate. Septs are not always linked to a Caern; a large group of Garou in the process of trying to bring a Caern into being, or who are searching for a Caern site, would also be called a Sept. However, in the absence of an established Caern, a Sept's power is greatly diminished, so most communities of Garou who consider themselves a Sept will be actively seeking a Caern in some fashion. A typical Garou Sept will have the following leaders:
