Vox Johnson (1943-2040) was a Sim musician, songwriter, and author based out of Bridgeport. Johnson was best known as the co-founder, guitarist, and regular lead vocalist of the Johnson Family Blues Band from 1967 to 1975 and again from 1979 to 2026. In addition, Johnson led a long and successful solo career that included numerous hits and dozens of concert tours. Johnson's numerous romantic relationships and wild early lifestyle made him a prominent figure in Bridgeport's social scene. Johnson is considered one of the most important figures in Bridgeport's musical history, and was the recipient of numerous musical awards, notably a number of SimFest and lifetime achievement awards. Johnson lived with his family in Bridgeport until his death in 2040 at the age of 97.
