The club is based off a small village of Blackrod in Greater Manchester, their nickname "The Miners" was given due to the history of the town that was once a coal mining village. The club's home kit is a traditional black and white. They have a black smart collar with white hoops on the shirt, the shorts are pure white with black stripes on the sides. The Miners In Season 37 began their season with a shaky start in Sixth Division where they won four matches, six draws and six losses as they ended up in 12th position. But since many teams were inactive; Blackrod Town were promoted by default and reached the Conference Premier for the first time. In Season 38, The Miners made an impressive start by signing key players such as Taco Baas, Tomas Cano, and Eaton Martin in their squad. The team ended up as champions of the Conference Premier with 17 wins, 8 draws and 6 losses making a total of 59 points making it a club record. This was by far the club's most successful season. In Season 39 making their debut, Blackrod Town had a challenging and struggling season which ended up relegation for the club ending up with only 5 wins, 6 draws and 23 losses. they finished 16th in the league narrowly missing the relegation play-offs. Season 40 to 43 is where Blackrod Town are currently in the Conference Division and where the team's Chairman Ross Butcher left the club after a row with the owner of the club Thomas Kitchener, it was rumored that Ross was unhappy with the team's relegation from Division 2 and decided to leave because of it. After a season break's from relegation, a Brazilian chairman named Rodrigo Santos managed to make a deal with Thomas and gained finances with the club.
