In 1953 there was a major reorganization of sporting clubs in Czechoslovakia, with many clubs being disbanded or merged. In this case the hockey team I. ČLTK Praha, originally founded in 1893, was incorporated into SK Motorlet Praha. Some of the club's best players included Luděk Bukač, Karel Masopust, František Výborný, Augustin Bubník, Jaroslav Jagr, Oldrich Kucera, Jaroslav Drobný and Vladimír Kobranov. In addition, Slavomír Lener and Jaroslav Hlinka began their careers with the club. The hockey department was dissolved in 1998 and all remaining players went to the Bohemians Prague.
