- Zip was an enforcer working for the crime boss Cottonmouth who often came into conflict with Luke Cage. However when his boss was murdered, Zip began working first for Shades and then for Diamondback. When he was ordered to assassinate Shades, he was overpowered and executed by his target.
- Zip is a character in Space Adventure and its sequel: Space Adventure Planet Y. He helps the astronauts during their journey.

- Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories introduce Zip stores, which are featured prominently on Staunton Island, Liberty City. However, the locations of the stores are different. In 2001, the branch is located in Newport, and in 1998, the branch is located in Belleville Park. However, in both games, a female pedestrian carrying shopping bags with the Zip logo on them are seen in Newport and Belleville Park.
- Zip (real name unknown) is a member of the Power Cats training team. He's a speedster who has trouble changing direction while he's at speed. He's a bit faster than 94 miles per hour, but there's no evidence about how much faster.

- Zip is a flea who works for The Family. By far the smallest member of the criminal organisation, Zip more closely resembles the insects native to Mobius. In his first appearance, Zip was used, quite literally, as a bug by Harvestman, implanting himself in the fur of Tails. Later, thanks to Oscura, Zip was able to switch bodies with Tails and controlled him during the story's events. His mission was stated to be to keep Tails out of the way while psychologist Oscura attempted to break Sonic the Hedgehog's resolve. The plan failed when Harvestman failed to get to the action in time thanks to over-zealous policeman Officer Bodger. He also correctly predicted that the assassin had been caught speeding once again.
- Zip is often described as 'Zug, only worse'. His head is often in the clouds, and he is well known for being a coward. He is easily scared and sometimes speaks out of turn, as well as being quick to back down when engaging in an argument, and is easily dominated. Zip could be described as being 'slow in the head', for it will often take him a while to catch onto things, even basic terms and phrases such as devious. He is mostly left out of plans, but may come up with his own, most likely wrecking the original!
