Toblerone was first created by Theodor Tobler (1876–1941) in 1908 in Bern, Switzerland. Tobler, with his cousin Emil Baumann, developed a unique mix of milk chocolate which included nougat, almonds and honey in a unique triangular shape. It is believed that the inspiration behind the Toblerone triangular shape might be the Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps. File:Domace-toblerone.jpg Tobler applied for patent for the Toblerone manufacturing process in Bern, and it has been valid since 1909.
