- Ogre kings were taken from the ogre race of Warcraft.
- Ogre king is a type of monster in ADOM. They tend to show up after the mid-game (which is roughly the wall of flames). Whilst they are not too much stronger than ogre lords, they have a lot more HP; at the point at which the PC is likely to meet some, they are likely to be more tedious to battle than hazardous. Like all ogres, ogre kings can smash doors.

| - When the number of ogre lords in a region rises above a certain density, they meet to challenge and determine if one shall be called king. Most ogres who enter the competition will be killed, with the brightest withdrawing before the main events, leaving the most brutal and least intelligent to fight for the position of king. If one manages to survive , he becomes a king, able to rule all he can force to obey.
