The desert presented many dangers to travelers, particularly in those parts close to the Aulmad. Trammelers sometimes made their nests here, and dry pirates roamed the dunes, setting traps for careless travelers. Rockrasps and the dark commandery could also be encountered. Paddifraw's Repose was located in the eastern parts of the Siccative, near the border to the Madescent.
