Slimy Slugs are enemies encountered in Mother 3. They are encountered in the tunnel from Club Titiboo's lobby to Violet's employee lounge. They are very easy to defeat, especially if the player is at a high level, and are a good source of quick experience and DP. One should also note that they can use Hypnosis α and a vacuum attack which depletes the Offense and Defense of any one party member. Other Slimy Slugs will frequently drop down from the ceiling while Lucas is already battling one("A Slimy Slug dropped from the ceiling!").

  • Slimy Slugs are large gastropods that feed off of electrical power, especially that from Brickonium. They are most commonly found on Planet U. Just like the monsters, they feed off energy crystals, and thus can be quite an annoyance. They are large, green with some faint spots, and eat crystals. Some can be a single stud in size, while others can grow to be over three times the size of a Rock Monster.

Slimy Slugs are short enough to crawl under Electric Fences, and due to their thick hides, laser, fire, and dynamite attacks are very ineffective, while they are completely unaffected by Freezer beam. The best method to get rid of them is place a Sonic Blaster, which emits a high-pitched sound wave which drives them away. Slimy Slugs can also be found on Ogel Island in LEGO Island 2, and push the player back when the player runs into them. Apparently, Slimy Slugs are also found on Mars, as they are Riegel's favorite food; since there are Energy Crystals on Mars in the Mars Mission theme, this could be possible.

Like the tougher Sticky Slug, its battle sound is Battle Sound 20 which falls under Code Numbers 496 for regular attack, 497 for Smaaaash! and 498 for Miss.
