  • Federal Suppliers Guide Inc. is a Tampa Bay-based company. It compiles, organizes, and publishes a list of small businesses authorized to seek U.S. Government contracts. It has been accused, by employees of some businesses it has approached, of being essentially a scam. It charges businesses to be listed, but may not actually refer government contracts to them. The listings themselves are not made available to those approached for the listing fee, in theory making it difficult for them to verify that their service is viable. However, their web security is extremely poor, leading to the entire directory recently being made available via Google. After Alex Papadimoulis, on his website , accused them of being a scam and publicized the security holes, people claiming to represent the company responded, defending the company's reputation and asserting that Papadiloumos was "crossing legal lines."
