The Northern Capital was formerly the city of Berlin. The city had been the main entrance to, and sitting on top of, the underground citadel of the ruler of The Reich (variously named as Soul of Darkness and Khan). The nuke-proof citadel was besieged by joint Russian and American forces for six years before managing to destroy the Emperor, brining the end of the Great War, and the city of Berlin was thus entirly devastated. Those who had survived continued their life hidden from surface beasts in the remains of the underground fortress, with the American troops returning back to their country of origin, and the Russian forces staying in the area and occupying it, but being powerless throughout the Bunker Era. With the end of the Bunker Era, the remains of the city fell to the LD, and the L
