The Lesser Ithrak are inhabitants of the Tetra Galaxy, distinguished by their large, multi-jawed mouths. These fierce, reptilian bipeds are nocturnal, and hang from ceilings when at rest. Although the Lesser Ithraks are tough predators, they are dwarfed in comparison to the Greater Ithrak. They are notably weaker while they are hanging from the ceiling. As Samus approaches them, they will swing from their ceiling positions and make warning noises to try and scare her away. If another creature draws too close, they will jump down and attack by swiftly lunging forward. They slightly resemble the Dragotix from Metroid: Other M.

  • Lesser Ithraks are a species of nocturnal predators which evolved somewhere within the Tetra Galaxy, although the exact location is unknown. While considered tough predators to contend with, they are dwarfed in comparison to the Greater Ithraks, which they are obviously related and are considered a cousin species to. As with their larger cousins, they are noticeably weaker when clinging to the ceiling.

If this does not work and the threat draws nearer, they will hop down to the ground and proceed to attack it by lunging at it.
