Sentarō Shirai (白井戦太郎 Shirai Sentarō, died Hiroshima, August 6, 1945) was a Japanese director and screenwriter best known for his work in the Jidaigeki genre. During World War II he was a second lieutenant in the army. He was stationed in Hiroshima at the time of the atomic bombing of that city, and was killed instantly in the blast.
