- While on assignment in Mexico City, Lois and Clark prepare to leave in a small plane. Along the way home, they are attacked by a pterodactyl. When Lois faints from fright, Clark uses his ability of flight to fly them to safety. However, has to refrain from using his super-powers and hides his Superman costume when they land and Lois revives.
They find themselves in a prehistoric valley populated by dinosaurs and primitive cavemen. When the cavemen ask if Lois is married to Clark, she flat out denies any interest in a "jelly fish" like Clark, and so the cavemen demand that she marry Blog, an ugly, fat, bald caveman. With Lois' big mouth catching her in another jam, Clark decides to live the moment up and make it hard for Lois to get out of their arranged marriage.
Blog has to succeed at three tasks to prove his worthiness and Clark secretly uses his super-powers in order to make Blog look successful. Blog "succeeds" in fighting off dinosaurs, and sabertooth tigers, however his last task is to make a fire when it starts to rain. Clark decides to help out by giving Blog a lighter to help. With the cavemen enthralled by the lighter, Clark secretly smashes an exit from the valley and he and Lois make their escape.
Thankful to be out of there, Lois wonders how Blog with fair at finding a mate. To satisfy his own curiosity, Clark looks back with his x-ray vision and finds that Blog is doing just well: The lighter making him the most popular caveman of the bunch he now has women swarming around him, impressed by the simple fire making device.
- Lois Lane wakes up to a beautiful sunny day, however things turn sour when both Jimmy and Clark are angry at her over something she does not recall doing. She is then called into Perry White's office where Perry tells her that she is fired. When Lois asks why, Perry presents to her the days edition of the Daily Planet, which features a cover story where Lois has supposedly outed Clark Kent as Superman. Perry explains that he is firing her on the grounds that the only reason why she reported the story was for personal glory.
Perry explains that she sent the story, written by Lois a year ago and abandoned when she found her evidence to be false, on purpose and they just barely avoided it getting into circulation. Perry then explains when he confronted Clark about it, he confessed the truth to him and that she should go and see him. To her surprise, Clark angrily shows her the truth by smashing his desk with her bare hands.
When Superman appears at the public ground breaking for a new Daily Planet building, Lois attempts to talk to Superman who snubs her and when she goes to the restaurant frequented by Daily Planet staff she is shunned. Heart broken, Lois decides to leave Metropolis for a time. Just then she gets a call from her sister Lucy who offers her a job as an actress for a instructional video that is being shot in Los Angeles. Lois agrees and she takes a plane with Lucy to LA.
There, Lois is in for a surprise of her life, as this was all a hoax to get herself on the TV show "This is Your Life". In order to make it appear as though Clark Kent and Superman are two different beings, Superman rushes out between commercial breaks and grabs an amnesiac sailor and has him act as Clark Kent. With the trick completed, Superman takes the sailor back to where he found him, and when his memory comes back to him, the sailor has no memory of what he had just done.
- When Pat and Lois put on a television broadcast of the song a week later, Clark realizes that there is something horribly wrong with the song and goes out as Superman to create interference to block the transmission of the song. When Lois and Pat attempt to sing the song at the Gotham State Fair, Superman once more intervenes by putting a sound proof dome over them. A week later when they attempt to perform the song again at the Conert-By-The-Sea, Superman creates a gigantic racket to block out the song.
He then confronts Pat Boone and tells him that the lyrics to the song could potentially compromise his secret identity, and tells the famed singer that he has come up with new lyrics. However, he finds that the envelope he had in his cape has been blown loose in the wind. In order to get the lyrics, a nation wide request to search for the envelope is put out and it is found by a young girl. Later, when the new version of the song is recorded, the master record is accidentally flattened by a steam roller.
Superman helps salvage the release date of the song by using his super-memory to remember the groves on the record duplicate them on a master disc to bring to the record printer and stamps out a million copies and a gold disk. When it's pointed out that the records lack a hole in the middle, Superman uses his x-ray vision to punch a hole through all the records.
Finally, as Lois and Pat get to broadcast the song on the television, Clark looks back at the original lyrics and points out that the first word of each line spelled out the name of his secret identity: Clark Kent.
- Pat Boone mania has hit Metropolis, and Lois Lane has caught onto the fad big time having bought every Pat Boone record and merchandise. She shows off her collection to Clark Kent one day, who is impressed with her collection. With Pat Boone performing in Metropolis that night, Perry White sends Clark Kent to cover the story, wanting someone who is not obsessed with the singer to do the interview.
After the show, Clark watches as Pat Boone gives out autographs and realizes that Boone will not be able to keep his scheduled interview due to the crowd and steps in as Superman, carrying Pat off to the Daily Planet. There Pat is entertained by the annual Daily Planet talent show, allowing for Superman to slip away and change into Clark Kent. When Lois and Clark do a duet together, Lois swoons when she learns that Pat Boone witnessed their song. Pat then comes up with the suggestion that he and Lois could do a special song about Superman together. They ask Clark to write up a song about Superman. After a long writing session Clark comes up with the lyrics:
Come sing a song of Superman!
