| - Originally a ragtag group of Gears whom had survived the Sinking of Jacinto, the militia would grow over the next two years and members of it would prove to be a pivotal force in the Second Battle of Azura, the last engagement of the Locust War. After the war, the COG reformed and integrated the Clayvale Militia into the Army as the 1st Clayvale Infantry. As time went on and the human population began to grow, the army expanded and several more Clayvale regiments were created. By 31 A.E., the government was in the process of replacing its human army with one composed of mass-produced robotic DeeBees, a move which infuriated many serving within the military. That same year, General Donald Berkeley and Colonel Colin Davis led a rebellion against the COG, securing Clayvale as an independent city-state. Many Gears joined the Clayvale rebellion and fought against this new robot army, and after the war was over, formed the backbone of the new Clayvale Armed Forces, the core force of the Confederation's military. In the aftermath of the rebellion, the Clayvale would undergo rapid expansion, including a fully developed Air Corps and Navy, in addition to a larger Army. It would also continue to face off against the COG and its DeeBees in isolated skirmishes between the two powers, as well as various Outsider raiders. In 42 A.E., it would encounter The Swarm, armies of mutated humans led by the Scions, the new incarnation of the old Locust Horde. At this same time, the size of the army would nearly triple when the city-state of Martizieu joined the Confederation to combat this new threat.
