Guided Rockets are munitions that are fitted with guidance systems, increasing hit probability compared to unguided (dumb) munitions. Dumbfire rockets can be retrofitted with systems such as DAGR that allow them to function as smart rockets.

It is considered by many to be very hard to hit units, so many players use them to damage tanks and other large targets. Using a guided rocket in the TIE Bomber is hard to use due to how fast the other ships are going. They do little or no damage to critical systems.
