| - Mrs Eckersley was a local farmers wife and a friend of the Sugdens.
- Mrs Eckersley was a highly strung customer who had an angry exchange with Mavis Riley at The Kabin when she had the wrong newspaper delivered to her in January 1988. She told Mavis that disaster had been averted as she'd got the unseemly paper out of the way before guests arrived at her house for a St. Clement's coffee morning, but she warned Mavis that her husband was a churchwarden and people judge by the paper they read - except the Sunday paper, as that was different. Mavis stuck her tongue out at the woman as she walked out of the shop with a polite good afternoon.
