Lilla Stjärna was the debut entry of Sweden to the Eurovision Song Contest. It was performed by Alice Babs at the 1958 contest in Hilversum. Originally, the song was supposed to be called "Samma stjärnor lysa för oss två", but neither Babs or SR, the Swedish broadcaster at the time, approved of the lyrics, and called in Gunnar Wersén to rewrite it with a new title. Åke Gerhard, the original composer, wouldn't allow Babs to make a studio version of this song as what he claims to still be his own work but in rewritten form, so the only recording of Lilla Stjärna is the performance in Hilversum.
