Hill County was a county in California, with Hill Valley as the county seat. The town of Haysville was also located in Hill County, in that the county marshal, James Strickland, had jurisdiction over the hanging there of Stinky Lomax in 1885. The Hill Valley Courthouse covered all functions of the county while in use. Locations in Hill County included places such as the County Asylum and the County Jail. By 1992, the Sheriff of Hill County was Andy Taylor.
