  • Pavel Ivan was born between 3680 and 3690 in Trigunia to unknown parents. His early childhood is therefore unknown. Pavel joined the Trigunian military at the age of roughly 15 in 3705, and due to his wits and physical strength excelled. He was promoted many times, reaching the status of general at the age of 23 in 3712. He used this mass following in the military to raise a force loyal completely to him by 3720, and the following year declared himself Count Pavel I. His new troop served as his household guard. In 3706 he married the young Helena Durvna, and the following year they had a son who they named Mstislav. In 3715 they had their second child, a daughter, who they named Anna Meri, and in 3720 they had their final child, another daughter, named Katerina Helena. When he rose to the style of Count of Pavlovna in 3721 he declared her Archduchess of Pavlova, although the tradition did not stick and she was the only formally crowned Archduchess of Pavlova, with the subsequent wives of Counts of Pavlova being simply titled 'Countess.' During his early reign Pavel I left much of the governing to his wife, Helena, as he continued to serve in the military. Helena's conservative values were therefore made the norm of his early reign. Not much was accomplished in this period. During the middle of his reign he retired from the military and began to rule in his own right. Helena's conservative values were overturned in favor of Pavel I's more progressive and reformist ideas. He transformed his land in to that of a utopia, leveling the gap between poor and rich, and reforming the tax system, postal system, and road system. He was beloved by the people and church, but hated by the government. During his late reign, he tragically suffered a series of strokes that left him unable to perform many of his duties. He made his son his de facto regent, and ruled only in name as a proxy. His son continued Pavel I's progressive idealism, and the realm soon came to love him as well. On the 5 of September in 3735, Pavel I suffered his fifteenth and final stroke, dying at the age of 45 in Karpalosaari, Trigunia. His legacy was that of progress, a unified postal system, roads, equal taxes, and a generality of utopia. His son, Mstislav, was crowned Count of Pavlova, but was stripped of all his father's ability and made an honorary Lord due to the government's supreme hate of his father.
