- The nation then went through several stages of utter devastation as more and more conflicts between Freedom Fighters and other nations raised. To this day, The Fighters seem to be rather peaceful; however - this does not mean others should dismiss the threat that is posed by this nation to them in times of warfare.
- They were all skilled woodsmen who communicated with bird calls to avoid detection and planned their attacks from a secret treetop hideout. Ever since the Fire Nation took over the nearby village of Gaipan, the Freedom Fighters had been cutting off Fire Nation supply lines and using all available means to sabotage their occupation. They were all wanted by the Fire Nation.
- Freedom Fighters typically act as individual cells, though they have sometimes worked together on missions. It has been rare for any group to have more than a dozen members. Typically, they prefer to use espionage, sabotage and guerrilla warfare. However, the primary Freedom Fighters in particular have been known to stage frontal assaults periodically, and have at times enlisted other Freedom Fighter groups in such action as well.
- The Freedom Fighters is a cut Terrorist faction added in February 17, 2016 Update to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive files.
- The Freedom Fighters were originally a resistance group, opposing Doctor Robotnik's dictatorial rule of planet Mobius. After The Final Victory, they became a general-purpose superhero group. By the time of The Battle for Mobius, the group had ceased to exist as a formal entity, but the term "freedom fighters" came back during the war as an informal term for the former members and any allied agents. The original members of the team were Sega-created characters (Porker Lewis and Johnny Lightfoot having been based on the animals rescued at the end of the game levels).
- In the original reality that existed before the events of Worlds Collide, the Freedom Fighters suffered a series of defeats that crippled the group: their leader Sally Acorn had been turned into an evil robot named Mecha Sally, Antoine D'Coolette had been rendered comatose, and his wife Bunnie Rabbot had disappeared. However, the remaining members of the group remained determined to fight on, and thus created two smaller teams: Team Freedom and Team Fighters. Both teams were active at the time the second Genesis Wave washed over the planet, but only Sonic, Amy Rose, Miles "Tails" Prower, Cream the Rabbit, and Big the Cat were seen in the altered reality that ensued.
