| - Squirt Frog and the Evolving Tadpoles played in Bar Harbor, Maine during their cross-country tour after the Yellowstone Supervolcano had erupted. The performance was not well received. The summer people treated it as background noise while the townies saw the amplifiers and expected raucous rock. A good time was had by few. From Bar Harbor, the band planned to head to Orono which had a University of Maine campus and would be more likely to have an appreciative crowd than the seaside vacation town. They stayed overnight at a local motel and with it being after Labor Day, the prices had dropped like a stone. The next morning they had breakfast in a local greasy spoon which was surprisingly good. The hash browns were made from fresh potatoes and not too greasy and the sausages were local with fennel as spice. After fueling up, the band hit the road for Orono via Bangor where they were also scheduled to play.
