Nicholas Ealing was once "tested" by Brentwood to see if he was vicious and sadistic enough to be considered an applicant. Ealing refused to meet Brentwood's murderous demands and was, as a result, shot at point-blank range by the enraged Captain. He barely survived the gunshot wounds. Tyler Brentwood and Moritz Erichsen are both set to join the Jackals.
